Bixby Knolls Theater Offers More Than A Performance

Alive Theatre has been bringing live dramatic productions to our community since January 2008. This weekend is the closing weekend of their current performance, “In Araba We’d All Be Kings”. More than just a stage performance is planned to end this production with perfection.

The first draw of the weekend is BIKE NIGHT. On Friday, September 11, guests who ride a bicycle to the show receive admission at a reduced rate of only $10. Alive Theatre created two great cycling options for the “Go-Green” evening of fun. Bikers can either meet at The Aquarium at 6 pm for a beautiful and scenic ride up the Los Angeles River, or arrive at the venue (4321 Atlantic Avenue) where the performance begins at 7:30 pm. There will be a bike valet on the premises to keep bikes safe and secure.

Directly after the performance on Friday night, the director and cast are offering a special “talk back” session for that night’s guests to discuss their experience with the current production. Audience members can come with questions or just sit and listen.

On Saturday night, September 12, everyone is invited to the After Party. For just $20, guests will experience live music, art, and drinks. Sounds like a great way to enjoy the nightlife in Bixby Knolls.

While you are making plans for the weekend in Bixby Knolls, why not stop for dinner before the show at the always amazing Baba Ghanouj (4276 Atlantic Avenue) for an authentic Lebanese dinner? It is a beautiful atmosphere with a variety of options for all diners.
